Prompt: As you grow older and face new experiences, what issue or topic do you think you'll have to stand up and debate most often, whether with friends, family, or society?

Prompt Response:

I am having trouble trying to think of an answer for this prompt, I am sure there are plenty of things I can argue with my family but I am not entirely sure what type of topic I will be needing to argue about as I grow. I think there is something that I will need to keep stating to people, that I do not plan to have kids any time soon or marry any person. I really want to live for myself and have fun with friends rather than settle down into a family while I can go out and explore. If I were to marry, I'd expect us to switch roles in cooking and cleaning or going to work rather than me staying at home and they go to work like how my mom suggests it.

Summary:

Today was a block day, we went over new notes this time about claim and continued on the previous notes from yesterday about 'Argument', Mr. Rease taught us how it is constructed. It contains a claim, evidence, grounds, warrent, reasoning and reservation, after we were done with 'Argument' we then moved on to 'Claim'. Learning that claim cannot be a simple statement or fact and it has to state a postilion. We then worked on a worksheet based on what learned, constructing claims of policy, value and fact.

Reflection:

I learned how to to construct an argument and a claim, working on the worksheet did give a new perspective on how it works and it is good practice.
