Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt: Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response:

I feel the most at peace in my room, because it is my own personal space where no one bothers me. I grew up with a lot of younger siblings and everyday its always loud or overwhelming, so I need my own time away from all of that. Especially when it comes to avoiding my mom, I get to do what I want in my room and relax.

Summary:

Today we continued to work on our previous notes on 'simile' and learned two more rhetorical words, metaphor and analogy. We spent the whole block period writing down their definitions and practicing exercises. There were some complications when it came to writing down examples and sentences.

Reflection:

I learned that I am horrible with this stuff, I can comprehend the definitions but it was difficult to make up sentences based on each rhetorical word. My mind goes blank and suddenly all my experiences and vocabulary disappeared, it made it hard to think of something to write down. When I overheard my classmates examples, they were so simple and easy it makes me wonder how I didn't think of that. But i'm getting the hang of it at least.
