Prompt: In Into the Wild, Christopher McCandless gives up many of his possessions in pursuit of freedom and meaningful experiences. If you had to simplify your life and keep only a few important possessions, what would you keep and why? What would be hardest to leave behind?
Prompt Response:
If I had to simplify my life and keep only a few important possessions, I would keep the basic needs of survival, such as food, backpack, water system, baby wipes, maybe a couple of dollars to buy food, etc. The most important one I will bring is my necklace of Virgin Mary that my mom had given me for my communion, and lotion for my eczema. The hardest to leave behind is everything, I love my things and love to have things in my possessions rather than leave them, every single thing is important and a story behind it.
Summary:
Today our assignment is on Writable, 'Into the Wild' chapter 4 Quote Analysis, we were given the choice to either start on the personal questions or the questions based on the chapter. There are 12 questions, the majority of the class chose to work on the personal questions first, I chose to read the chapter first. Mr. Rease gave us until Sunday to complete the assignment.
Reflection:
I can reflect that the chapter was interesting to read and that I will need to think thoroughly with these personal questions.
