Prompt: Choose a vocabulary word that resonates with you personally. Write a blog post explaining why this word is significant to you, including any personal memories or experiences that link you to the word.

Prompt Response:

The vocabulary word that resonated with my personality more is "Gibberish". When I was growing up I had problems with speaking both English and Spanish, they had to pull my out of class to take speech lessons. I can admit that it was hard to understand what I was saying, I mostly spoke gibberish to people and I wasn't the smartest of the bunch. When I started to speak more to other people, my social skills were so bad it just seemed like I was speaking gibberish without making an actual conversation.

Summary:

Today we had a school walkout before 7th period, the majority of the school participated. Once the walkout was over, we headed to our classes for 7th period, Mr. Rease was not here today and we had to go to a different class, room 1202, with another teacher. The assignment today was to complete the vocabulary of Lesson 7, on a separate sheet of paper we wrote down a sentence for each word and completed exercises 3 and 4. The work should have been done before the end of class and be turned in to the teacher present.

Reflection:

I can reflect that I was proven wrong when a lot of student did participate to the walkout instead of flanking out. It was nice to know that the school did allow students to protest against ICE, it was a new experience for me and I'm glad there are people who are willingly aware of the problems of this country. The work was simple and there were vocabulary words I already knew, so that was nice.
