Summary:
Today we worked on rhetorical devices, hyperbole, understatement, and litotes. On a sheet of paper we wrote down each definition and notes, while also creating our own rhetorical sentences. Mr. Rease reviewed them with us through the board and book, he also helped correct our sentences. We did a specific format in the left corner of the sheet and titled the sheet center on the first line.
Reflection:
Today I learned that I had clearly not gotten any practice on these rhetorical devices growing up, the only one would probably be hyperbole but that was so long ago. I was mainly taught to understand and how to look for it in sentences, I also was bad at creating sentences with rhetorical devices all my life so I'd say I wasn't surprised.
