Prompt: Describe a real moment in your life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story. Tell what happened, and why it felt like a turning point in your life?

Prompt Response:

A real moment in my life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story was meeting my friends that I made back in 7th grade. Well not entirely a powerful story but I do like my friend being involved with my life, it felt like a turning point of my life because it was the first time I initiated a friendship and forced myself out my comfort zone to be social. I made beautiful friends, it made me improve on my social skills and brought me so many good memories. It was a good improvement from being isolated during quarantine and the years before that, after that moment I still have an amazing friend.

Summary:

Today we were given a packet of notes on how to write a rhetorical paragraph, using a previously done packet of rhetorical analysis on Dr. King's speech. After thoroughly reading the notes with Mr. Rease, we had begun to write our own rhetorical paragraphs, using rhetorical devices to help write our thesis, body paragraphs, and conclusion.

Reflection:

I can reflect today that I learned whats required in a rhetorical paragraph, the example helps me a lot to see how its supposed to look like, I don't like doing things without a clear understanding on how it should be done. The example helped me understand that it was not too hard to write one and that it wasn't something to overthink much.
