Prompt: What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response:

Sometimes it can be challenging to work in a group, there are many different opinions and preferences on how things should be done, there would be times when not everybody agrees on something. Fortunately, every group I had that was more than two people had gone well for me, it was mostly a pair group that usually got tricky. I was partners with this one girl for a physical sci project last year, we were to build a motion thing that includes any object that pushes the ball to move. My partner decided it was best to build something that took more work to set up, mind you she barely was present and I had to do the majority of the work. In the end it was barely done and it sucked. I learned that most of my partners in that class, all year, were the worst partners I have been given.

Summary:

Today we wrote new notes about Rhetorical Situation with Mr. Rease, after we were done with that he assigned us an assignment in writable, where we typed down three different rhetorical devices and their evidence from Obama's speech. We then analyzed samples that students had written with our group members, with the rubric we scored each one of the three samples.

Reflection:

I can reflect that it was nice working with Elliot and how I now understand what a Rhetorical Analysis should look like.

Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
