Today you worked on creating your Vocabulary Digital Cards in Adobe Express. In one well-developed paragraph, reflect on the assignment by explaining which vocabulary word was easiest for you to understand, which word was most challenging, and how creating your own sentence and selecting an image helped strengthen your understanding of the vocabulary. Use specific examples from your work.

Prompt: Today you worked on creating your Vocabulary Digital Cards in Adobe Express. In one well-developed paragraph, reflect on the assignment by explaining which vocabulary word was easiest for you to understand, which word was most challenging, and how creating your own sentence and selecting an image helped strengthen your understanding of the vocabulary. Use specific examples from your work.

Prompt Response:

The vocabulary word, Bumpkin, was the easiest for me to understand and a new word I will be using now to describe and name my siblings. The word that was most challenging was soporific, I just know it would be something I won't remember the definition of nor would I use it as much. Creating my own sentences and image help me to strengthen my understanding of the vocabulary because I had to think how the word would and should be used, I had to put more thought into its use. Once I figured out how to use the word in a sentence or what image would fit best for it, I had already understood its meaning.

Summary:

Today we had a new assignment, Vocabulary Lesson 9 as digital vocabulary cards on Adobe Express, just as always there are 15 words and with the usual routine of making our own sentences containing the word. The only difference for these cards was that we needed to also include the synonym and antonym of the word and the part of speech, such as nouns, verbs, or adjectives.

Reflection:

I can reflect that I learned new words and also learned how to use them in a sentence. I can also reflect that hearing some of my classmates ask what does the part of speech mean, it worried me just as it worried Mr. Rease.
